This demo was made by teenage goths in the early 2000s. Recording music was hard back then, so this documentation is almost all that remains of Frowny Face Empire. Little is known for sure about the band today, but I think it went something like this: Kate and Alana would eat black kool-aid powder straight out of the package and mystic truths would be revealed to them, forming the basis for songs. Greg would then press play on the drum machine and somehow generally hold it together in ways he was not fully given credit for at the time. Live shows may have involved mutilated barbies, religious themes, and throwing specially made baked goods into the crowd.
